My family and I are in the midst of a big move across the country.

Things are a bit hectic.

I haven’t forgotten about you. And I’ll be back.

Just as soon as we get settled.

-

I’m popping in to tell you about my latest addiction – The Conversation with Amanda de Cadenet.

-

It’s a celebrity interview program that is smart and thought provoking and genuine. She interviews people like Gwyneth Paltrow, Diane von Furstenberg, Alicia Keys and Jane Fonda. It’s not really that these women are celebrities that makes this show interesting – it’s that they are successful, experienced women who have a story to tell. And they do. Amazingly well. And the honesty will shock you. This is some serious. quality. television.

I think I’ve watched all eight episodes that are available online in 5 days.

How did I not know about this show? We’re my friends and sisters holding out on me?

-

If you haven’t seen it yet, check it out here.

It will do so much more for your brain than another 50 minutes of The Real Housewives of Blah Blah Blah.

And if you’ve been watching it all along, why didn’t you tell me about it?

-

Speaking of excellent interviews.

Did you know Alec Baldwin does a podcast for WNYC called Here’s The Thing?

It’s so good!

This is something you are going to need to know about.

-

You know those recessed can lights that are in your ceiling? You never use them because that light shining down on your face only accentuates the luggage under your eyes. Thanks to AudioBulb, those sockets are good for something other than making you feel like buying more La Mer eye creme.

-

It’s a speaker that screws right into that recessed can socket. You can add audio to any room of the house and keep things looking streamlined.

-

Added bonus: They still have a lightbulb – just in case you lose an earring or a Barbie shoe.

-

Learn more about them here.
