Fining a good looking and affordable bag for summer is always a challenge.
But I’ve found mine for this year – in pink with the gold monogram detail.
Perfect.

I’m loving the pastels floating around look-books right now.
Makes me think of sorbet and that first cone of the season.
What a great way to welcome the warmer weather!
-
How about adding one of these delicious little accessories to your rotation?
-
Handmade Beads, Striped Tote, Sandal with Straps, Snakeskin Belt, Never Say Never Undies, and Iced Rose Aviators.

St. Patrick’s Day is this weekend.
Can you believe it? I can’t.
I’m not entirely sure where the month of February went.
-
Do you have your green ready for the festivities?
These spring green pieces would pair perfectly with a pint of Guinness.
-
Nail polish, bangle, shirt, timepiece, necklace, maxi and clutch.

Florals are everywhere this season. Skirts, dresses, and even pants. I’m not sure I’m brave enough to rock the pants, but I do think these prints are a great way to welcome spring. They remind me of vintage wallpaper.

I don’t consider myself a fashionista.
I don’t take fashion risks, and I don’t scour fashion mags.
I’d much rather spend my pennies on reupholstery than shoes.
-
That being said, I do keep an eye on things in the fashion world. I think it’s a great predictor of where things will go in the interior design world especially when it comes to color. When I lived in New York, I used to say that you could look at the newsstand and see what the colors for home interiors were headed. So, this week I’ve been keeping my eye on the runway shows.
-
I love the deep greens and burnt oranges from the Narciso Rodriguez show.
I’d love to see these colors translated into a room.

Are you getting up early on Sunday to shop for Jason Wu clothing and accessories at Target?
I wonder if it will be as big a mess as the Missoni debacle of 2011.
I doubt it, but I’m also guessing that stock will run out quickly.
I love the look above – cute clothes and well styled.

It’s Snowdown weekend in my little mountain town – a winter festival to help ease cabin fever.
There’s a parade tonight, hot air balloons each morning, a chili cook off, fireworks and general mayhem to look forward to.
-
And, of course, the Super Bowl on Sunday.
Are you planning to watch?
I will. And I’m making these to share.

Grace Kelly is responsible for many things when it comes to fashion, and it’s no secret that she was a muse of Alfred Hitchcock – my favorite movie maker. It was in one of his films that Grace Kelly made the Mark Cross overnight bag iconic. She pops open her Mark Cross bag to reveal a flowing nightgown and satin slippers to an appropriately impressed Jimmy Stewart – I’m not sure that the bag was what he was impressed with.
-
Unfortunately, the company closed it’s doors in 1997. Neal Fox, the current CEO, was determined to bring Mark Cross back to the fashion world. He relaunched the line in 2010 and is now offering a premier collection. These are pricey little numbers, but so fun to dream about.

Don’t these jammies look comfy? And chic?
-
Know what’s even better than how these pj pants look?
The cause you’d be supporting if you bought a pair.
-
The International Princess Project advocates for women who have been forced into prostitution. One of their initiatives is Punjammies. The construction of these pajamas provide much needed jobs for the women who are trying to escape prostitution. When you purchase a pair of Punjammies you don’t just receive a pair of the perfect lounge pants, you help to support the International Princess Project and their ongoing efforts to free Indian women from forced prostitution.

And see all the pants they offer here.
